Training
Our Technical Training Department employs three full-time instructors who provide factory level training in our state of the art classroom and machine lab facilities. Our instructors have decades of experience as equipment technicians and as training instructors. They are recognized by our manufacturers and regularly attend factory training to stay abreast of the latest changes in the equipment we service and support.
We host more than sixty in-house technician classes each year for our apprentice and senior technicians as well as machine & systems familiarization classes for customer operator and technicians at our facility or your job site.
Apprenticeship Training
Bramco offers a robust apprenticeship program which combines on-the-job training with academic instruction for those technicians that are first entering the workforce or who have limited on the job experience. Bramco’s apprenticeship program is 24 months long and offers technicians the opportunity to be full time employees of Bramo while gaining knowledge and building experience around our products and services. The classroom training portion of the program is provided in Bramco’s Classroom training state of the art training facility at our corporate headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky. This training consists of eighteen in-house classes of foundation and advanced machine systems training, six factory training classes for machine & segment specific specialization, and one on one daily mentorship with a senior technician.
For the first 18 months of the program, each month technicians will have 1 week of classroom training in Louisville, Kentucky (all expenses paid) and then 3 weeks of on-the-job training with an assigned mentor in the field at the technician’s home branch. The final 6 months of the program will focus on specific skills needed at technician’s home branch, which may include manufacturer training, specific brand training, or industry specific training. Our focus on machine system training combined with hands-on work with a mentor provide a steady stream of capable, confident, and knowledgeable technicians who have over 750 hours of classroom training upon completion of the program.
All technicians are hired as full-time technical employees of Bramco making them eligible for:
